My kids and I read a lot of books together. Some of the books are recommended by their homeschool curriculum and others are just for fun. Here are the most memorable ones from the last few weeks:
Continue readingThis is a really fantastic picture book. The art is beautiful and expressive. I love seeing exactly what the queen is thinking and feeling. This book is hilarious and has so many little details to laugh about.
We read this as part of our UK study as recommended by our Torchlight Kindergarten curriculum. I loved it, and so did my kids.
The following is my 5 year old’s “book review” he wrote for the “travel magazine” we write for every place we visit. (He dictated and I wrote everything except his name.)

It is funny that she is yelling at James. It is funny that the cats are in the hot air balloon. It is funny that James is running after her and his shoe fell off. It is funny how the boy looks and is missing a tooth. It is funny that James is off the ground when the Queen is dancing. Her hair is so funny.
In April I started reading 9 books, but only finished 4. I officially started homeschooling, and my baby became a toddler. Keep reading for all the details.
