Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle by Betty MacDonald: Silly and Fun

My favorite books were the first two. In the first Mrs. PW uses her imagination and well trained animals to teach kids manners or change bad attitudes. In the second book she has moved to a farm and it’s lots of fun.

In the third, fourth, and fifth books she has inexplicably moved back to town and uses “magic” cures.

Overall though, these books are silly and enjoyable. They are light hearted and can be used to discuss “good manners” or what is perceived as “good behavior”. For the most part I just let my kids listen and enjoy.

I would highly recommend these books to anyone with little kids that enjoy audiobooks. There is a surprising amount of variety in the stories and the names of the characters always made me chuckle.

Happy reading!
